My research interests include the history of the American cinema and of film periodicals, the interactions between film and history, the issues of propaganda and censorship as well as the visual representations of the Jewish-American culture.

I am currently working on a project focusing on “filmdom” in the context of the Great War and the inter-war years in the United States.
